Advice and Advocacy Worker

TGP Cymru is a Wales based charity working with children, young people and families and has been providing services across Wales for 20 years.

Join TGP Cymru’s Travelling Ahead team working across Wales alongside Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities. Travelling Ahead provides advice and advocacy supporting people to access their rights and entitlements, address inequalities and tackle discrimination. The team are home based and work flexibly in a range of settings with a mix of virtual and face to face working. The role is permanent with funding currently until September 2027.

We also run an advice service for EU Roma families across Wales to apply for settled status in the UK, a carers support project and community advocacy projects.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in community engagement and participatory approaches
• Strong communication and partnership working skills
• Understanding of the barriers facing Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities
• Commitment to equality, inclusion and social justice

Candidates must also be able to demonstrate TGP Cymru values. Values are important to us, and we are seeking candidates who believe in our values as much as we do.
