Mid and West Wales Regional Safeguarding Board (CADW) Online Meeting, 24th June 2020

Jul 7, 2020

Children and young people’s junior safeguarding boards across the four counties, of Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Powys recently met up online to discuss current projects and future plans on how to keep children and young people safe throughout Mid and West Wales. Rebecca Reynolds, representative from the Senior Safeguarding Board (CYSUR) also attended and the young people were able to give their feedback.

It was the first online CADW meeting since the Covid-19 pandemic, and the young people had the opportunity to discuss relevant safeguarding issues.  Children and young people’s mental health and well-being was an important issue raised and how they can be supported, especially in these difficult times.

The group had the chance to share their experiences of ‘Lockdown’, both positive and negative, and even exchanged their favourite lockdown snacks!

CADW also wanted to express their gratitude to all NHS workers and key workers by taking a photo of the group with their rainbows and thank you messages. Thank you again for all your hard work, you are all amazing ☺
