Innovation in Advocacy and Children’s Rights in Wales – Event

TGP Cymru is holding an event to celebrate and share innovation in Advocacy and Children’s Rights in Wales. The event is sponsored by David Melding AM.

Key Speakers:

  • Julie Morgan AM, Deputy Minister for Health and Social Services
  • Sally Holland, Children’s Commissioner for Wales
  • David Melding AM, Chair of the Cross Party for Looked After Children’s Group
  • Young People from TGP Cymru’s Participation Group.

The purpose of the event is to:

  • Review the National Approach to Statutory Advocacy (INASA) and Active Offer Of Advocacy (AOA) for Looked After Children in Wales
  • Showcase the work of the University of South Wales Graphic Communications Students on promotional information for advocacy and the UNCRC
  • Premier a film made by young people about the NASA and AOA.
  • Launch the Research: ‘Out of Sight – Out of Rights?’ The Provision of Independent Professional Advocacy in Children’s Homes in Wales
