Veterans and Families Service

Veterans and Families Service

How can we help?

Our whole-family, holistic interventions are tailor-made to meet your family’s specific needs.

Experience in the military continues to have an impact long after leaving service, and this can sometimes bring unexpected difficulties for Veterans and their family members, causing them to feel overwhelmed and isolated.

Our aim is to walk alongside you, provide you with space to talk, explore ways of working through the tough issues and work with you to maintain the stability of your family relationships so you can move forward – individually and together.

What we have to offer

We provide therapeutic sessions for each family member and offer facilitated joint sessions between family members, especially where there are issues that are causing conflict in your relationships.

Our confidential sessions help you to:

  • Process what’s going on for you in a safe space
  • Identify what you need individually and reflect on the needs of your family as a whole
  • Gain understanding of what’s going on for other family members, and how you impact each other
  • Improve communication to help you safely and confidently express what’s going on for you
  • Help you work through challenging issues together without escalating conflict in your relationships
  • Identify solutions that help you to move forward individually and as a family
  • Engage with specialist services in health, social care and education, as required.

Interventions are delivered remotely by our specialist practitioners, via Teams, Zoom or WhatsApp, and we encourage self-referrals as well as those from professionals.

Who is eligible?
